Champion motor group on Long Island.....

There have been numerous rumors of this Long Island company having filed for bankruptcy. A recent check of the database for the federal court doesn’t have any bankruptcy filings under this name. I think some other boards (who shall remail nameless) owe an obligation to try to fact check when at all possible.
Since they are in my backyard sort of speak I hope this isn't the case but this tough economic climate can take it's toll on any high end business like this.

I was there a few weeks ago and while they are probably in a rough spot now, I really hope they do well. For those of you that don't know it or have ever been, this is one of the GREAT places to see cars. Besides being a new-car dealer for Bentley and Lamborghini, they always have a FEW HUNDRED other cars there. I saw an XJ220 there 2 months ago and an F40/F50 in the past month. You will see anything and everything: Carrera GT, Ford GT, Ferrari, Aston, Porsche, so much good stuff. It is so great that I have this "museum" 5 minutes from my house and know some of the principals, so I hope it never goes away.

I have heard "the rumors" from a few different sources over the past several months and NONE of them came from somebody on the internet, this thread excepted. Only time will tell...
