Zurich Crash: Bentley 1, Tram 0

We know that Bentley builds solid and sturdy cars. And, as dark a picture as this paints, I can’t think of another car I’d rather be in during an accident. Luckily, I haven’t had any big ones, but when it comes to crashing, mass is certainly something I’d want on my side. Proving this point is a recent crash that happened in Zurich, where a Bentley met a tram.

Knocking a tram off its tracks is a mighty impressive feat, and a car with any less bulk than the Bentley would be unlikely to pull it off. We don’t know if the impact was a glancing blow, or a force of great torque, but either way, the lumbering tram was put in its place.

It just proves once more that public transportation doesn’t stand a chance against owning your own ride. I suppose some folks can get philosophical about the differences between travel modes by those well off and the average citizen. But I say: let that be the spur in your side to escape the clutches of public transport.
