You’re Having a Far Better Day Than This McLaren Owner

Having a crash is usually not in someone’s daily planner. Even less so when you’re driving a McLaren 650S. However, this driver was reportedly street racing, and brought it upon himself. Sadly, the crash was initiated when the McLaren hit an Audi that was an innocent bystander.

As reported in the KTLA news report below, the McLaren was racing a black Dodge Charger, which later fled the scene. Woodland Hills police are searching for additional information on that car.

I know that we all like to drive enthusiastically on the street, but this brings to light a problem, and an opportunity. Assuming the Charger was a Hellcat, both cars racing are able to eclipse 200 miles per hour. It is very easy to get in trouble with these cars, and there’s plenty of potential for danger. Thankfully, access to race tracks and drag strips is easier than ever. Public events are available at just about every local track, with professional instructors, too. I know it’s not the same as an impromptu duel on the street, but it is up to us to exercise responsibility. Don’t be that guy!
