VIDEO: Pagani Huayra – A Documentary
The Pagani Huayra is not just the pinnacle of automotive engineering, it’s a true work of rolling art. But its birth was not from a fleeting moment of passion, rather it was years of carefully cultivated love.
Its origins began in 2003, around the time of the Zonda S Roadster. The Zonda had been done (as a base design) and so work began on designing the next generation of Pagani supercar. Wind was Horacio Pagani’s inspiration. Says Pagani, “[Wind] is ever present in our lives: a jet turbine, the silence of a glider… the elegance of the movements the wind creates…but also the violence and force that it can unleash.”
The Huayra comprises over 4000 components – and that’s apart from the engine and gearbox – and it’s this assembly and meticulous care that sets Pagani apart from other Italian car makers.
In the video below, you can watch the creation of the Huayra and be absorbed in Horacio Pagani’s passion for beauty, engineering and driving. We hope you enjoy it.
