Updated Mercedes-Benz G55 Amg Spotted

Our Teamspeed spies spotted this updated G55 today and as we can see the old gal retains her classic dinosaur looks. We have been informed that the new G55 AMG will be powered by the new 5.5 liter twin-turbo engine that has been trickling it’s way through the AMG range, giving this beast between 525 to 544 horsepower.

There will also be a few cosmetic changes , such as new mirrors, new air intakes (on this prototype it looks like the whole front bumper is split into 3 coolers), LED daytime driving lights and new wheel options. The brakes also look updated on this monster. The public debut is most likely to be at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2012.
