Revealing Paramount Network doc focuses on Walker’s role as a Hollywood superstar, car enthusiast, and humanitarian.

The Paramount Network recently released the trailer for the upcoming documentary I Am Paul Walker, an intimate and emotional look at the life of Fast and the Furious actor Paul Walker. Premiering Aug. 11, the doc focuses on Walker’s role as a Hollywood superstar, car enthusiast, and humanitarian and includes rare and never-before-seen footage. Walker passed away almost five years ago, on Nov. 13, 2013, in a tragic car accident while riding in the passenger seat of a Porsche Carrera GT.

I Am Paul Walker captures Walker’s life and career with interviews from family, friends, and colleagues, painting a picture of an easy-going guy deeply committed to family, who found great passion in his work and charity endeavors. He loved cars, the beach, anything that took him outdoors, and personified charm and effortless charisma.

“He loved to go fast,” his sister Ashlie Walker says in the doc. “As soon as I was old enough to hang on tight, I was on the back of his Big Wheel with him, going for the ride of my life.”

Rather than dwell on the tragic circumstances of his untimely death, the documentary is a life-affirming look at Walker and his commitment to lead a life that left a positive impact.

The documentary will begin airing on the Paramount Network starting on August 11 at 9 p.m.
