Scuderia V Builds World’s Fastest Porsche 991 911

A bevy of bolt-on parts is all this otherwise stock Porsche 991 911 needed to break not one, but two records.

Claiming that you have the world’s most powerful or fastest anything is a fleeting statement, for obvious reasons. For one, because it’s typically difficult to back up. Secondly, it’s only a matter of time before somebody else comes along with something even more powerful or faster. But at least for now, the folks at Scuderia V can lay claim to owning the record for the world’s fastest Porsche 991 911.

The relatively new tuning outfit didn’t have to do major reconstruction under the hood to achieve that lofty record, either. This particular Porsche 991 911 uses nothing more than basic bolt-on parts to elevate horsepower from 370 all the way up to 600 raging ponies. And once the whole thing was sorted out on the dyno, they took it out to the half-mile mania known as Race 1000 with one goal in mind. Resetting the record books!

And they did exactly that. This Scuderia V Porsche 991 911 laid down a best speed of 261.81 km/h (162.68 mph) in the half mile. Which was good enough to claim not just one, but two records. You’re now looking at the world’s fastest 911 Carrera and the world’s fastest rear-wheel drive, manual transmission 911 Carrera. Not bad for a day’s work, we’d say.

What’s even more impressive about this car is the fact that it accomplished those goals at stock weight. While rolling on stock P Zero tires. Not too shabby for something that any Porsche 991 911 owner can accomplish for a minimal outlay of effort. But we’re guessing that the guys at Scuderia V aren’t exactly going to rest on their laurels. We’re betting that if anybody’s going to break their new records, it’ll be the guys who reset them in the first place!
