Sandstorm: Gymkhana 8 Is a Fury of Masterful Drifting and Supercar Ownage
Ken Block is on a mission to make his mark, literally and figuratively, in every corner of the world. Using Imprezas, Fiestas, and Mustangs, he’s burned miles and miles of rubber in Los Angeles, San Francisco, France, and a couple of other unnamed awesome-looking warehouses and open parking lots.
In the eighth installment of his legendary Gymkhana video series, Block takes his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta to Dubai for the “Ultimate Exotic Playground.” In typical fashion, Block starts on the outside of the city and works his way in, weaving through roads with about as much precise control as a 3D printer. Of course, no Gym is complete without some obstacles. This time it’s Dubai’s notorious supercar police fleet, a drag race with some of the world’s best supercars, and a close-up inspection of a 747’s landing gear. Ultimate dream job? Ultimate dream job.
