If you’re a Porsche enthusiast, you’ll get your money’s worth from print publication with few ads, lots of amazing Porsche stories.

The internet has done a lot to upend publishing over the 2010s, mainly in the form of slashing print from our daily lives. From long-standing local newspapers, to enthusiast magazines, more and more publishers are either going digital-only, creating digital-first content from the get-go, or simply tapping out of the game altogether.

At the same time, though, print, like film cameras and vinyl records, is reinventing itself amid the digital maelstrom. More than a few publishers are making the most of the situation by creating high-quality magazines, both in content, and in construction. One of them is an astounding magazine devoted to Porsche, one called 000 Magazine. If nothing else, it’ll be the gift that keeps on giving year after year.

000 Magazine

Named for the numeric nomenclature used by Porsche for most of its cars, 000 Magazine is a quarterly print magazine printed on 80-lb paper, sized at 9×12 inches for maximum reading pleasure, the kind a Kindle will never give you.

000 Magazine

If you’re worried 000 Magazine will be like the infamous September issues of Vogue — where there are 200 pages of ads before you reach the masthead page alone — the magazine comes correct by doing away with such madness. In fact, you’ll hardly notice the few ads that will be in each quarterly issue, as the goal is to only have 5% to 7% ad content.

000 Magazine

What you will notice in 000 Magazine is the extensive amount of Porsche stories within each issue, and how in-depth each story goes. Some pieces are five pages long, others are 40 pages in length, with a few going beyond 40 pages. And each copy has over 250 pages’ worth of content. In short, you’re getting your money’s worth, and then some.

Speaking of money, 000 Magazine is worth every penny of the subscription price: $250 for four issues, $999 for the limited-edition subscription package. The latter is more than gift-worthy, as each subscription comes with an alloy VIN plate, a slipcase to gather your issues in one displayable place, and the knowledge that you and 998 others will have a truly special thing going. We certainly can’t think of a better Christmas present than that. Long live print.
