From UV protection and anti-glare tech to rock-solid construction, The Fall/Winter 2021 Collection is all form and function.
‘Celebrity Specs’ for Everyone
Porsche Design tapped Patrick Dempsey for ambassador hood back in January 2021, and it has served the lifestyle brand thus far.
“…In the first and second quarter of 2021, Porsche Design of America, Inc. recorded a significant sales increase in the eyewear category from a year ago,” says Jan Becker, CEO of the Porsche Design Group, in a recent press statement.
Dempsey is a both a dedicated racing enthusiast and Porsche buff, and that makes a resounding difference.
“The results are showing that Dempsey resonates with our existing customers while also exciting new customers,” said Becker. “We couldn’t have asked for a better match.”
What’s New for 2021?
The “Air Spring Series,” Squared Aviator Style & P’8931 Classic Aviator Style are the flagships for the new collection feature 100 percent titanium construction, and Polarized XTR lenses.
Also new for 2021 is the highly-advanced “Ball Tec Series,” and “Flexible Purism Series.” Both series contain high-performance polyamide RXP from Rodenstock, but Ball Tec supports “titanium ball’ joints, while Flex Purism relies on RXP-built hinge joints with elegant, minimalist design.
Advanced Polarization
Polarized XTR lenses improves contrast by only filtering in the appropriate amount of spectrum, hence increasing color and depth perception. It also enhances contrast, reducing glare significantly while driving.
