Porsche Cancels Sub-Boxster Model

Due to current economic conditions in Europe, Porsche has canned the highly anticipated sub-Boxster model. We reported last month CEO Matthias Mueller was quoted as saying in a German magazine that the introduction of the entry-level roadster to its model lineup would be delayed amid worries that the car could dilute the brand’s image, but our sources reveal to us that this project is officially dead.

Despite this bit of bad news, VW’s engineering boss, Uli Hackenberg, stated that the Bluesport project is still very much alive in a report with EVO earlier this month.
