New Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet makes it debut in the motor city

Porsche officially debuted the new 911 Carrera Cabriolet to the public this morning in Detroit. The new 911 cabrio features a very innovative fabric and composite plastic folding roof that Porsche says can be raised or lowered at speeds at to 31 mph. The new top is stronger and lighter then the previous generation 911 cabriolet. As noted in a previous press release; “The sky’s the limit now for driving fun with the new 911 Carrera: the CoupĂ© is following on from the Cabriolet and introducing the superior attributes of the new generation 911 in the open-top sports car market segment. At the same time, the new lightweight top technology enables the typical 911 roof line to be retained in full for the first time: even with the top closed, the Cabriolet reveals the unmistakable 911 silhouette – never before were Cabrio and CoupĂ© so similar.” Follow fore more.
