McLaren back at the Ring’ with the P1

The British publication Car Magazine reports that McLaren is back at the Nurburgring with its P1 supercar, attempting to set the fastest lap time ever achieved by a production road car. It seems Porsche has done a great job at rattling the feathers of McLaren and Ferrari, as both have been spotted of late on the Green Hell, since the Porsche’s 918 record ring run.

CAR’s spy photographer watched the pre-production P1, code named XP2R, attacking the ‘Ring yesterday, and reported it’s the fastest car he’s ever seen shoot past his lens on the famous circuit.

We all anxiously await to see if McLaren can in-fact dethrone Porsche’s 918 Spyder record ring time of 6:57. Stay tuned!
