McLaren Canada teams up with fashion retailer to celebrate the return of the French GP following a 10-year hiatus.

The return of the Formula One Grand Prix de France is obviously kind of a big deal. As is McLaren and its rich motorsports history. So to celebrate both, the automaker’s Canadian arm is teaming up with Montreal-based retailer Off the Hook to offer a new line of specially designed apparel. The graphic-heavy collection draws inspiration from all of McLaren’s current lineup, including the 720S, 570S, and P1 GTR.

Off The Hook’s McLaren collection spans pretty much every type of clothing you can think of, too. It includes wind-resistant shell coats, pullover hoodies, hats, and short and long sleeve t-shirts. Each of which features premium die-cut felt textiles embellished with reflective detailing that celebrates the iconic automaker and its racing heritage.

But it also marks the return of the legendary French Grand Prix, the oldest grand prix in the world, after a 10-year absence. The first-ever international race labeled as such began way back in 1906. But unlike today, it took place on public dirt roads across a 65-mile circuit spanning three towns. Interestingly, however, there are many similarities that persist today.

Even back then, things like track-side advertisements, grandstands, and pit stops were a thing. Over the years, it’s moved to seven different venues. From Reims to Magny Cours (and even a stop at LeMans once). The first GP returns to France this year in the friendly confines of Circuit Paul Ricard. Where it just so happens McLaren has claimed four of its five French GP victories.

Thus, now is a better time than ever to celebrate with a special clothing line. Off the Hook’s McLaren collection is available now at the clothier’s Montreal store fronts and online.
