Lotus Reveals More Details About Emira

Lotus has dropped new details about Emira V6 First Edition and the prices for the UK and European markets

Emira will be the last-ever Lotus model to feature an internal combustion powertrain. Its debut back in July 2021 made quite the splash, and now, the automaker has released full technical specifications of the Emira V6 First edition, along with its pricing for the UK and the European market.

Built on the legacy left behind by Elise, Exige, and Evora, the company’s newest offering brings all the hallmark features of its predecessors together. The all-new mid-engine British sports car is an example of the massive transformation Lotus has been working on.

EmiraV6 is being hailed as “a quantum leap forward for Lotus.” The Managing Director of Lotus Cars, Matt Windle shared his thoughts on the Emira. “The Emira is the most accomplished Lotus we’ve ever made, and to celebrate and reward our keenest early customers, we want to make the first cars extra special to own. The features have been carefully selected by our design team to make for a truly special and distinct First Edition,” said Windle.

A 3.5-liter supercharged V6 powers the First Edition. The six-speed transmission sends 400 Hp of maximum power and 310 lb-ft of peak torque to the rear wheels. The gearbox can be upgraded with a six-speed torque-converter automatic with paddle shifters for £1800. The six-speed manual gearbox is mated with hydraulic power-assisted steering.

With the upgrade, the torque figures are bumped up to 317 lb-ft. According to Lotus, its lightweight sports car with automatic transmission can accelerate to 62 MPH from a complete standstill in just 4.2 seconds. Interestingly enough, Emira is only 0.1 seconds slower to the 62 MPH mark with manual transmission.

The car rides on diamond-cut 20-inch ultra-lightweight V-spoke forged alloy wheels that get a two-tone finish. Apart from that, creature comforts in the Emira V6 include a 10-speaker KEF sound system, 12-way heated seats, LED lights, climate control, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, satellite navigation, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

For the first few customers, Emira V6 will come equipped with additional features. The car will be launched with four optional packs, which include Design, Lower Black, Drivers, and Convenience Packs. These packs will be bundled together as “standard” for the First Edition.

The fully-loaded Lotus Emira V6 First Edition is priced at $103,726 (£75,995, approximately) in the UK. Lotus revealed that the same model would cost around $112,667 (€95,995) in the European markets, including Germany. The company will announce pricing for the Australian market next month.
