Emira V6 First Edition

Lotus Emira V6 First Edition will cost $93,900 and come with desirable features including the 3.5-liter supercharged V6 making 400 HP.

The automotive world is going electric, and every automaker will soon be producing nothing but EVs. Lotus will follow suit, but they are sending off the internal combustion era with a bang. That bang is the all-new Emira. We have been eager for details about the new car ever since we first caught wind of it. Each glimpse we catch of the car excites us more. In late September Lotus announced the full technical specifications of the Emira V6 First edition, along with its pricing for the UK and the European market. Now Lotus confirms the full specification and pricing of the Emira V6 First Edition for the U.S. market.

Let’s get right to the price. The Emira V6 First Edition will cost $93,900. And for that you will get a fully loaded car that includes special badging. “Powering the V6 First Edition is the much-loved and Lotus-honed 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine, mid-mounted behind the two seats. Developing 400hp, it’s mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with a visible gearchange mechanism and hydraulic power-assisted steering.” This car will offer American buyers a lot of sports car experience for less than $100K. Jim Carter, Head of Sales for Lotus Cars USA, commented: “The arrival of the brand-new Lotus Emira in the USA marks a milestone for our customers and fans.”

The First Edition will be offered in six different paint colors. Seneca Blue, which is the color on the car pictured here, and looks amazing will be one option. However, you can also select Magma Red, Hethel Yellow, Dark Verdant, Shadow Grey and Nimbus Grey. More colors will be available during 2022. “The car rides on 20-inch ultra-lightweight V-spoke forged alloy wheels. They’re diamond cut to create a premium two-tone finish. However, silver or gloss black versions are available as a no-cost option. Two-piece brake discs with branded calipers are part of the First Edition spec, plus a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.”

On the inside there are seven interior color choices, all available at no extra cost. They are red, black, grey and tan Nappa leather, as well as black Alcantara with either red, yellow or grey stitching. Other features inside include heated seats with 12-way adjustability and two memory presets linked to the door mirrors (driver’s seat only). Climate control, cruise control, keyless start and selectable drive modes are all included.

Technology

The Emira V6 First Edition also comes with a host of technology features. Firstly, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and satellite navigation are standard. There is also a 10-channel/340W premium audio system.  This system has been developed in partnership with respected British brand KEF and includes DAB digital radio. “All functions are accessed through a 10.25-inch centrally mounted touch-screen, with driver feedback through a 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster ahead of the multi-function steering wheel.”

The Emira V6 First Edition will come standard with four individual option packs. These include the Lower Black Pack. This finishes the front bumper air blades, front splitter, side sills and rear diffuser in gloss black. The Drivers Pack gives customers the choice of Tour or Sport suspension with Goodyear Eagle F1 Super sport tires, or Sport suspension with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The Design Pack provides privacy glass, sports pedals, a black Alcantara headliner, and the choice of black, red, yellow or silver painted brake calipers. And finally the Convenience Pack adds front parking sensors, rear reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers with aero blades, auto-dimming mirrors and a rear luggage storage net.

Special Badging

If all of this is still not enough there are some additional extra cost options to choose from. And these include a six-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters for $2,150. In addition, there is the Black Pack, which colors the roof, cantrails, mirror backs, rear Lotus badge and exhaust finisher for $1,400. An updated version of the Emira First Edition configurator for the USA will go live on the Lotus U.S. website on October 18th. As a result you can spec your dream Lotus with pricing. Production of the car is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2022. We can hardly wait.
