Nearly two-feet of French beauty is captured by Danish ingenuity. And it’s gonna set you back a small fortune!

In case you missed the memo, LEGO is currently making some of the coolest toys for automotive fans. In the last few years we’ve gotten a large 1:15 scale Ferrari F40, a replica Caterham, a massive 911 GT3 RS Technic set, and a handful of incredible cars in the Speed Champions series. But now those crazy Danes have stepped things up a notch and have introduced one of the largest and most complex projects they’ve ever created, a Bugatti Chiron.

Built by the Technic team, like the 911 GT3 RS, this new set is amazing, complicated, and beautiful. At 1:8 scale, the completed model is 22 inches long and nine inches wide. The engine is a proper W16 design and it features moving internal components, and there is a functional eight-speed gearbox. You can even insert a special “top speed key†to activate and move the adjustable rear wing.

Beyond the moving transmission and engine you’ll find detailed brake discs, a full interior, and hiding under the car’s hood is a custom Bugatti overnight bag and a unique serial number for the kit. There are so many bespoke pieces to this kit, it’s hard to fathom.

Speaking of pieces, with a build total of 3,599 pieces this Bugatti Chiron is one of the largest LEGO sets ever released. Of course they are all in a custom Bugatti blue color as well.

Sadly, owning something like this won’t come cheap. Pricing is listed at an eye-watering $350. Thankfully it doesn’t seem that LEGO will be restricting production of this new kit, so at the very least, scalping and price hikes should be minimal.

If a build-it-yourself French supercar sounds like the toy of your dreams, and you have nearly two feet of shelf space to house it, this new kit is on sale now. Until you get your hands on the thing, why not take some time to look over the photos of the box and finished model we have here in out gallery. We promise it’s worth checking out.
