LEGO Introduces a Ferrari F40 You Can Own in Your Lifetime
Times change, we age, and we stop playing with toys, right? Wrong. We never truly grow out of playing with things; we just move on to bigger and more expensive toys. Toys like cars and motorcycles. The folks over at LEGO want you to forgo those more adult toys, though, and go back to the realm of children’s playthings.
To celebrate a supremely iconic car, LEGO recently unveiled its new Ferrari F40 set. With prices for the real car skyrocketing to the level of the GDP of Luxembourg, LEGO thought it prudent to offer a Ferrari F40 that everyone can possibly own.
While we all may remember LEGO sets being rather easy when we were children, this Ferrari F40 is anything but. Given that it has 1,158 pieces, it will definitely take some time to put together, especially since it’s so detailed. Not only do you have a working suspension system, but the doors, hood, and engine compartment all articulate as well. Open up the rear hatch and a twin-turbocharged V8 engine is revealed; it can be removed from the car if you desire to gaze longingly at it. There’s even the iconic Ferrari prancing horse on the steering wheel.
While the real car will set you back a cool couple of million dollars, this one goes for a much more attainable $90. The kit is available now from LEGO. Honestly, don’t you want to feel like a kid again? This kit could make you do just that.
