Lamborghini Urus Convoy Explores Iceland’s Best Driving Roads
Nearly 900-mile voyage sees the group of Lambo SUVs tackle the toughest terrain with ease.
The Italian manufacturer set out to find the world’s best driving roads by organizing the “Lamborghini Avventura.” Having already traveled to Spain, Romania, and Norway, the journey led the supercar builders to the scenic routes of Iceland this past October.
The rough terrain of the Icelandic roads proved to be the perfect obstacle course for the Urus to display its capabilities on, and off-road. The trip featured a number of shifts in weather as well, which made for some interesting driving conditions, as well as great photo opportunities.
Iceland’s natural beauty served as the perfect visual backdrop for the journey as the Lamborghinis kicked things off in the southwest region of the country. The train of Urus traveled through the Reykjanes peninsula and paid a visit to the incredible Blue Lagoon. (Pictured above)
From there, the group of Lambos drove along the southern coast of Iceland. They passed through everything from the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, ultra-rough off-road routes leading to the black glacier of Kötlujökull, and even moss-covered lava fields, all the way back to civilization to conclude the adventure in the country’s capital city of Reykjavik.
The road trip’s diverse driving conditions served Lamborghini perfectly to showcase the drivability of the Urus super SUV. What other destinations will Lamborghini travel to in their search for the world’s best driving roads?
