Lamborghini Murcielago: Quintessential Old-school Italian
When you just want a car to see and be seen in, you can’t do much better than this classic Murcielago.
Today’s supercar fans are facing a bit of a dilemma. Our favorite cars are becoming increasingly complicated, with ever-growing computer-driven influence. For fans of a pure driving experience, that’s a bad thing. But if you crave nothing more than absolute speed in your show boat, today’s cars are faster and more capable than ever. Still, there’s just something undeniably romantic about driving a car that wants to kill you. A car like this Lamborghini Murcielago, which we spotted over at CNC Exotics.
A car Kayne West once infamously cruised around in while rapping about it. Because, well, this is a car built for showboating celebrities and monarchs alike. The Murcielago is no exception to that rule. Like most Lamborghinis, it sits so low to the ground that simply getting in it is difficult. Ergonomics are an afterthought, as is fuel economy. But you won’t care when you mash the go pedal and listen to the glorious noises produced by that amazing 6.5-liter V12. Or notice that every fair member of the opposite sex can’t help but stare at you when you drive by, wondering if you’re somebody important.
