Koenigsegg CCX Rolls and Crashes in Mexico

A custom Koenigsegg CCX has crashed, and if this vehicle’s injuries were sustained via street racing, then we may have a factual use of the term “racing in Mexico.” The crash happened Thursday morning as the car was reportedly in route to Monterrey, Mexico (not to be confused with Monterey, California). Speeding was quite obviously involved, which led to the car flipping nearly half a dozen times, according to witnesses. There’s no evidence if the crash was spurred on by a race or if the driver simply lost control at a high rate of speed.

Due to the murky nature of the information GTspirit was able to glean, it appears the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital. But information beyond that is hard to obtain. One can only hope that they are okay, due to the condition of the Swedish supercar. The car involved — which may be familiar to our readers — is chassis #067, more commonly known as Custom Vision. The extent of the damage means that this car has almost certainly met its final resting place. Let’s just hope the fate of the passengers has a better outcome.
