Jeremy Clarkson drives the McLaren MP4-12C
Well here is video many of us have been anxiously awaiting, the McLaren MP4-12C driven by one of our favorites, Jeremy Clarkson, at the famous Circuit Paul Ricard in France. As noted by his review last spring while he was comparing the new McLaren to the incredible Ferrari 458 Italia, “The McLaren is a much nicer place to sit and a much nicer car to use. In a Ferrari 458, the indicator buttons are on the wheel, so if you are going round a corner, you push the button on the left to tell other road users that you are about to turn right. And at night, when you want to indicate, change gear and dip your lights at the same time, you need to deploy your tongue.
There’s no such madness in the McLaren. The steering wheel is just a steering wheel. And what’s more, the circumference is precisely the same as the circumference of the wheel fitted to the cars driven by Messrs Hamilton and Button. Minus a fraction to take into account the thickness of their gloves…”
