Jaguar C-X75 to be “highly personalized”
When Jaguar announced the C-X75 was going into production back in May of this year, a new halo car for the brand was revealed.
The C-X75 will be produced in collaboration with the Williams Formula 1 team, and will feature a highly powerful four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine combined with electric motors to ensure it will get from 0-100km/h in less than three seconds (0-160km/h in around six seconds)and a top speed of over 300km/h.
Speaking with Teamspeed today, Jaguar spokesperson Kevin Goult confirmed that the C-X75 will now also be available in right-hand-drive meaning markets such as the UK, Japan, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand will also be able to purchase one of the 250 examples, at a cost of £700,000 plus local charges and taxes.
But it was also revealed that the C-X75 will be highly personalized. While Jaguar wouldn’t be drawn on whether that included such details as suspension and steering calibration as in Aston Martin’s One-77, Jaguar’s color and interior finish options could all be up for grabs.
Jaguar is pushing ahead with customizing all its cars, with even the base model XF diesel being able to be fitted with the top of the line seats available in the XFR, showing how committed it is in pleasing customers with their requests.
One thing’s for sure, the future is bright for Jaguar, and with the C-X75 slated for production in 2013, it will be an interesting few years ahead.
