Four guitars from the Hall & Oates legend take a ride from Nashville to Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance as part of a curated exhibition.

Back in 1989, Nissan dropped its Infiniti luxury brand on the American market with a pair of cars, the Q45 and M30. In the same year, legendary rock duo Hall & Oates covered the O’Jays classic “Love Train” for the film Earth Girls Are Easy.

Thirty years later, one half of the duo, John Oates, has teamed up with Infiniti for a special delivery to Amelia Island, Florida for the 24th edition of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, set for March 7 through 10.

As part of Infiniti’s continued sponsorship of the concours, four guitars from Oates’s collection took a 600-mile ride from Nashville to Amelia Island in the back of a 2019 QX50. The guitars will be displayed as part of the “Cars of the Rock Stars” exhibition, which Oates helped curate, while the QX50 will join the rest of Infiniti’s SUV display at the Concours.

Infiniti Prototype 10

And while Infiniti is in-step with current vehicle trends, its Prototype 10 electric roadster concept, which will also be on display at Amelia Island, shows the brand isn’t out of touch with the future; the brand plans to have a fully electric lineup by 2021.
