Hotline Bling: Lamborghini Smartphone Is One Pricey Call
Lamborghini has a sexy new smartphone, and for just under $2,000, it can be yours.Â
Chinese smartphone company Oppo has teamed up with Lamborghini to create a special Lambo edition of its flagship Find X phone. The result is a sleek, high-tech phone that incorporates the classic Lamborghini brand not only in its styling, but in luxury and speed. You Tube channel Unbox Therapy got an opportunity to check out this hot smartphone and explore its many cool features.
Host Lewis Hilsenteger does a great job of walking us through the very fun unboxing process. Hilsenteger explains that the Lambo phone has several unique features and offers more than just cool badging and design. First off, the name of the game with this phone is speed. The phone can do a full recharge is 35 minutes, very impressive for a phone with a 3,400mAh battery. The premium edition phone also comes with staggering 512 gigs of storage.
Hilsenteger gets to unboxing the phone, and it is worth noting that this is a box you’d definitely want to keep. The Lamborghini badge is embossed on the almost leather-like case. Next he gets to the Super VOOC charger which looks very chic, and comes with a cool Lambo inspired yellow braided cable.
The in-ear headphones have a carbon fiber Lambo style, which also carries through to the case, which is not just where you store the earphones but charge them as well. The design aspect is very strong, as is the quality.
The phone also perfects the carbon fiber look, and the Lambo logo looks absolutely perfect. The Lamborghini styling continues throughout with Lambo inspired software and system icons.
One of the true wow factors for this phone is the camera. It’s a pop-up camera that slides out when in use, then closes away into the phone when you are finished. Very cool.
At about $1,900, it is not a cheap phone, but you can see where the money was put into making a truly top-shelf product. Hilsenteger jokes that you can’t own the phone unless you have a Lambo.
Yes, he is kidding. But noting the price Hilsenteger says “You get to enter the Lamborghini world for a fraction of the cost. From that perspective this is very affordable.”
It’s an interesting collaboration for the automaker, but it makes sense. Fast, luxury supercars tie in well with their own fast, luxury super phones.
What do you think? Would you drop almost $2k for a Lambo phone?
