JEREMY MEEKS "Hot Felon" Karma Revero

Just weeks after purchasing a Karma Revero, tabloid star crashes $133,000 electric supercar in Los Angeles.

Jeremy Meeks is a name that might sound familiar. Meeks is best known as the “Hot Felon,” a name given to him when his mugshot went viral in 2014, promoting many to contemplate sending him a cake with a file hidden inside. Since getting released from the hoosgow, Meeks has definitely embraced the good life. He became a popular model, and a tabloid staple after he hooked up with Chloe Green, British heiress to the Topshop fortune. But money can buy you sweet whips, but not necessarily the chops to drive them.

Meeks recently purchased a Karma Revero. The electric sportscar goes for $133,000 and is certainly a slick ride.

The Karma Revero was released in 2016. It was initially born from Fisker Automotive, which folded in 2014. Karma Automotive was reborn after being purchased by Wanxiang Group. Karma released a Revero and Revero GT, and plans to release the new 2020 Revero GT later this year.

The Revero is powered by two electric motors, and produces 403 hp and 981 ft.-lbs of torque.

That’s a lot of power and ponies for someone who might not be used to that level of velocity. And clearly, Meeks was out of his depth. Shortly after buying the ride (or having his crazy rich girlfriend slap down her AmEx) Meeks crashed it in West Hollywood.

According to The Daily Mail, it isn’t clear what caused the accident, but it was spotted being repaired by West Hollywood Collision Center.

The damage was mainly focused on the passenger side; with visible body and tire damage, and a big hole above the fender.

But, don’t pull out those Kleenex just yet. It appears that the Revero is all fixed up and looking pretty again.

“I appreciate West Hollywood Collision Center for taking care of me,” Meeks posted on Instagram.

May we suggest Meeks visit the Karma Automotive Center in Los Angeles? He might gain some helpful tips on how to handle driving this supercar. Or, if he crashes it again, he could likely have Green buy him another. Or a dozen. Ah, the good life.
