Gumpert potentially lives on, New funding may be imminent

2012 has been a rough year for specialty automakers seeing the likes of Gumpert, Artega, Lola, and Melkus filing for insolvency, or simply closing its doors. Despite all this, there could be a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel at least for Gumpert, as Dutch magazine Auto Visie reports the company has found a new investor. There’s no confirmation on who the investor is, but an employee has confirmed the Apollo will live on. Auto Visie says an official announcement will be made soon so stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed.
