Unfortunate crash reminds us all that just because you can afford the Ferrari, it doesn’t mean you’ve got the driving skill for one.

Look, nobody enjoys seeing these beautiful cars’ lives end, and we’re not rooting for it. However, when something like this happens, it’s like a bad drama movie. You want to look away and refrain from seeing it all, but you just can’t. We can’t control when things like this happen, so why not sit back and enjoy the show when you can?

If your outlook matches that sentiment, we’ve got great news! Daily Mail has brought back around this slightly older video.

Ferrari Driver Loses Control in the Rain, Meets a Wall

Its age doesn’t change its impact, as it will elicit the same reaction no matter how many times you watch it.

Ferrari 458 crash

The video starts with the cameraman, a young man who is a major Ferrari enthusiast (which is proven by the Ferrari logo seatbelt covers in the rear of his car), recording the 458 as it enters a motorway. The vehicle passes the prancing horse, but the cameraman turns around to continue filming the car. The Ferrari driver makes a move to go around them but gives it just a bit too much gas.

Ferrari 458 spin

The rear loses its grip on the road and whips around faster than the driver can react. The Italian dream machine narrowly misses the car the cameraman is sitting in, and blazes head-on into the concrete barrier alongside the road. Pieces of the bodywork erupt outward like a firework while the cameraman and passenger wince. The car bounces each end off the barricade before coming to a stop in the emergency lane.

Wrecked Ferrari 458

What could make this all worse? Well, according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, the car was registered the very same morning. Additionally, they report that upon police arrival, both the vehicle and the occupants were no longer on the scene. Though we have done a little digging, we have not been able to find any conclusion to this story. As far as we can find, the car and owner disappearing are where this story ends.

It’s important to remember to respect what you’re driving. Regardless of technology, there is a lot of power at your disposal behind the wheel of a Ferrari. Especially in the rain, throttle control is going to save you a lot of headaches. Your wallet and insurance company will like you more, too.
