Bugatti Chiron Spied In Italy

Being tasked to write about the successor of the Veyron is an honorable thing, even if we’re only talking about some spy shots at this point. But aren’t those exciting anyway? We get to peer into the world of a “developing” car. Something that we aren’t supposed to see yet. It almost feels a little bit taboo, but it doesn’t matter. You’re going to look anyway.

The spy shot above comes from keen Instagram user Erico Hessel, and he spied the “Chiron” concept on Italian highways. It looks shockingly similar to the Vision Gran Turismo concept, but, of course, without all the production specific embellishment. Regardless, we can still see some very obvious clues to the Veyron’s successor, such as body lines that are different, but still speak to very obvious “Bugatti” cues. The side profile, cut-outs and venting behind the door, headlights, and the traditional Bugatti grille are all present.

It’s almost as if the Veyron hasn’t even left us yet. The Chiron (this as yet named running prototype) has come upon us so quickly that we still haven’t been able to take in all of the glory that the Veyron has to offer; we just recently got to drive the Veyron, and that was a mind-melting experience. This gives us every reason to believe the Chiron will be off the charts.
