EXCLUSIVE: Chicago Auto Show’s Hottest Rides
Auto Manufacturers Turned up the Heat in What’s Otherwise a Frigid Time of Year in the Windy City
Last week, the world’s auto journalists arrived in Chicago for the press preview of the country’s largest auto show. Dubbed the “consumer’s auto show,” Chicago has always been about the car buyers, and not the headlines. Contrary to Detroit, the Windy City focuses on reaching gargantuan amounts of future car buyers through its one-million square feet of exhibition space.
According to the show’s PR department, nearly 1,000 vehicles from 40 exhibitors are currently being showcased at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. This year also marks the 109th edition of the nation’s largest automotive gathering, which represents a lot of value for the manufacturers. Perhaps that’s why it’s here, and nowhere else, that they offer fans a plethora of driving and testing experiences.

Manufacturers like Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Maserati, and others brought full lineups of vehicles, with the hopes of attracting future buyers. Or retaining loyal ones, at the very least.
As has been the trend in recent years, more and more Hybrid and EV vehicles can be seen throughout the show floor. For example, nearly 40% of Porsche’s display vehicles are hybrids.
Maserati is focusing more on their new Levante SUV than their sedans or coupes. While Alfa Romeo is dazzling everyone with their small but stunning lineup, which doesn’t offer any hybrid models—yet.
Enjoy the shots, and let us know which one is your favorite!
