Bugatti Chiron Sport 110 ans, Koenigsegg Jesko Coming to New York
Two stunningly fast and beautiful machines from Bugatti and Koenigsegg are reason enough to visit the Big Apple this week.
The New York International Auto Show is upon us, taking place this year on April 19-28, which means, of course, plenty of exciting new products for us to drool over. And after going over the list of appearances with a fine-tooth comb, we can confidently say that there are at least two excellent reasons to be in New York this particular week. Namely, the Bugatti Chiron Sport 110 ans and the Koenigsegg Jesko.
The oddly named Bugatti is simply nothing less than an all-out automotive tribute to the country of France. Not to mention Bugatti’s 110th anniversary, of course. Thus, you’ll find the French flag bestowed all over this special Chiron. From the seats to the bottom of the active rear wing.
The rest of the Chiron’s carbon fiber body is covered in a stunning shade of Steel Blue. It’s both a celebration of the automaker’s origin and a tribute to their French roots. And it’s absolutely breathtaking to look at.
Also making an appearance in New York is Koenigsegg’s latest mega-car – the Jesko. Taking over for the Agera RS, the Jesko is designed to be a no-compromises track-legal road car that offers up ultimate performance.
That’s easy to do considering that the Jesko is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 pumping out an astounding 1,280 hp on pump gas. Fill it up with E85, and that number jumps to a ridiculous 1,600 hp. And of course, the Jesko is built using a lightweight carbon fiber chassis and advanced aero generating over 2,200 pounds of downforce.
Sure, there are plenty of cool cars to take in at this year’s New York Auto Show. But it’ll be hard to top these two from Bugatti and Koenigsegg – that much we know for sure.
