Team Speed went behind-the-scenes at the Petersen Automotive Museum’s newest star-studded exhibit, opening May 5.

Team Speed was fortunate enough to attend the preview of the Petersen Automotive Museum’s latest exhibit, “Hollywood Dream Machines.” We were attending the second annual Future of the Automobile Conference where industry leaders gather to discuss how the automotive industry is impacted by various challenges. And then we spotted it. The Structural Blue Lexus LC 500 from Black Panther!

It was our time. Well, our time to be one-on-one with a scene-stealer from the 2018 blockbuster.

It did not disappoint. After all, it does takes some major star power to hold your own alongside Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan.

The car is featured alongside a fleet of amazing rides from the movies at the Petersen exhibit. Other memorable vehicles include the DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future, Tony Stark’s 2008 Audi R8 from Iron Man, a Ford Mustang King Cobra from  Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and more from 20  films on display.

We loved seeing the LC 500 with bullet holes and feline scratches from the epic chase scene. Does it translate from film to real life? Yes, so much yes!

If you are in the Los Angeles area, do check out this exhibit. It, unlike Wakanda, will not be forever–it runs until March of 2020. Soon, you never know–snap–it could be gone like that!
