Bentley Admits EXP 9 F SUV Concept Redesign in the works after public panning
The 2012 Geneva Motor Show debuted many new exciting concepts to the worlds stage, and one of the most talked about this year was the Bentley EXP 9 F SUV, unfortunately for the British auto-maker the chatter was not of high praise.
The EXP 9 SUV was received with harsh criticism regarding its styling. In fact the disapproval rate was so widespread that during the press days, an unnamed Bentley source told British publication What Car that Exp 9 F’s styling is “a little heavy handed” and that “an alternative design is in progress”.
The Bentley source added that the firm’s second take on the SUV theme will have “more traditional SUV proportions and less retro surfacing” while retaining the EXP 9 F’s round headlights (albeit slightly smaller) and fog lights.
Bentley says that its 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 or a plug-in hybrid drivetrain could also meet the company’s performance requirements for an SUV.
