Andrew W.K. Gets His Party on With GridLife Drifting

By -

Part concert, part track day, all party. GridLife is a perfect spot for Andrew W. K. to get some thrills.

When you really want to get your thrills, you hop on board with a professional drifter. Since rocker Andrew W. K. likes his thrills, that’s exactly what he did when GridLife visited Road Atlanta for a weekend of parties and concerts.

Chris Forseberg’s Infiniti Drift car was the missile of choice, and Andrew had a few choice words about it upon first sight: “A lot of it is missing!”

With four seats, Andrew and friends can join in on the fun. But they had thoughts ranging from “scared” to “stoked.”

After a few laps and tandem drifting with Ryan Tuerck, W. K. wasn’t short for words: “It was uh, you know, terrifying, mortifying, devastating, horrifying, mortifying, terrifying, in the best way. It was partying!”

GridLife already has round 1 in the books, but the rest of their track day and party season will be hosted at iconic venues around the country. If you’re interested in their festivals supporting speed and sound, the Midwest fest will be held at Michigan’s Gingerman Raceway June 9-11, and their South festival will return once again to Road Atlanta August 25-27. GridLife’s other track events are on their schedule here.
