An Evening with the McLaren 570S
To celebrate the reveal of the 570S, McLaren Beverly Hills hosted an exclusive evening for previous and prospective customers, allowing them to take a much closer look at the newest entry into McLaren’s Sports Series.
The 570S completes McLaren’s three tier model range and is one of the most potent sports car in the market with 562 horsepower and a scant 2,895 pounds. It accelerates from 0 to 62 MPH in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 204 MPH.
The show started even before entering the dealership as the valet area was filled with all types of supercars, including a pair of Porsche 918s.
Once inside, guests were treated to drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a yellow P1.
But when the curtain fell on the 570S, all eyes were glued to the lightweight coupe with its “shrinkwrapped” design and a multitude of aerodynamic components.
While the 570S is designed to be an attainable McLaren, with a starting price of $225,000, it doesn’t feel like a bare-bones little sibling to the 650S. Formula 1 inspired design and technologies have been packed into a slightly smaller package to deliver the same exciting experience that McLaren is known for.
The daily-driver friendly 570S continues its world tour with a public display in the UK at the Wilton Classic and Supercar Show on June 6 – 7, 2015.
