Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach

Three-day event had amazing racing, killer cars & massive crowds.

When it comes to marquee racing events, we’ve got plenty. Events that take place at legendary tracks such as the Nurburgring, Daytona, and Le Mans immediately come to mind. But personally, we’re huge fans of the epic Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Because this three-day motorsports extravaganza encompasses six races and dozens of amazing, diverse machines.

Those incredible machines fly around the carefully curated streets of Long Beach, California, right in the backyard of millions of residents. And this year, an estimated 185,000 spectators showed up to take in all the action, which, coincidentally, just so happens to be the largest crowd since at least 2000. And when the final tally comes in, event organizers believe it could set a new record.

This year's Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach was chock full of amazing racing action, killer cars, and massive crowds!

That massive crowd was treated to some seriously hot racing action this year. The main event being, of course, the IndyCar event. But many big times races took place over the long weekend, including IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Pirelli World Challenge events. There were also exciting showcases involving Super Drift Challenge, Stadium Super Trucks, and even historic Trans Am racers.

Fans of motorsports in general will have a hard time finding an event more diverse (and exciting) than the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. With a little something for everyone in a truly unique environment, it just doesn’t get much better for those with motor oil in their veins. So be sure and scope out all the action in our gallery below.
