Akrapovic Releases New Exhaust for Audi R8 V10 Coupe and Spyder
The new Audi R8 has hardly been in showrooms for a hot minute, but the aftermarket is already starting to respond. Akrapovic, one of the most respected names in performance exhaust, has released a slip-on titanium alloy exhaust for the V10 coupe and cabrio. The titanium construction allows for a number of improvements, namely that it weighs half of what the OEM exhaust does. It also claims to improve air flow with mufflers that cater more toward performance than keeping things hushed.
Additionally, you can opt for the Akrapovic Sound Kit, which allows you to control the exhaust valves within the muffler with either a fob or your smartphone. This allows you to bypass some of the internal silencers and gives you a full race sound. Turn the system off and it quiets down to a subdued growl. So with that you’ll get the best of both worlds.
If I had an R8, the exhaust would be one of the first things I’d change out, and Acrapovic always impresses. Just look up videos on YouTube if you don’t believe me. This new system is sure to impress with all 5.2 litres of V10 singing the song of my people.
