991 Targa, Boxster/Cayman GTS Models Coming
A report leaked on Jalopnik this week confirms information we have been reporting here on Teamspeed for the past two years — Porsche is bringing back the classic open-air style targa to the 991 line-up. Unofficially these slides were from a “secret” dealer meeting to go over upcoming product offerings.
The new Targa will feature a very “trick” automatic sliding roof, and will be based off the Carrera 4 and 4S. Pricing should be in the $100-120k range.
What was a bit of a surprise was the reveal of two GTS offerings coming to the Boxster/Cayman line-up. The two variants will debut at next year’s Beijing Motor Show in April, and include a 15-horsepower increase, manual transmission (optional dual-clutch PDK), and PASM. The team at Jalopnik goes on to note these models will be priced around $75,000.
