Spied: 2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class Coupé

Now that the hype has calmed down a bit regarding the all-new S-Class sedan revealed earlier in the month, we can turn our attention to all the other S-Class configurations that will be coming out of Mercedes in the near future. Here our spies have spotted again the upcoming S-Class coupé out and about in Germany, revealing a few more details.

Mercedes-Benz has announced plans to expand the range of its flagship series to include seven different models, so we expect our spies to be busy spotting standrad and AMG guised test mules over the next few months.

Expect all of the new S-Class underpinnings, engine options, all of the newly revealed techno-wizardry, and of course the new Magic Ride Control system to be in clouded in the new coupé.

We expect the 2 door S-Class to be offered with tarmac eating V-8 and V-12 power-plants, both in standard and AMG guise. The Germans are also working on a twin-turbo 3-litre V6 for the C400 which could fit very well into the range. The new S-class coupé could debut as early as April’s Shanghai Auto Show, though this coupe should arrive towards the end of the year or even later.
