2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed
Our trusty Teamspeed spies catch the final testing shots of the new Bentley Continental GT. Here are the fully undisguised photos as we head into the Frankfurt show next month. Featuring a few sportier aesthetic additions, the new Continental GT still retains the elegant look we have come to expect from the British coach-builder.
As reported recently by Car and Driver, under the hood we will find the 6.0-liter W-12 from the current GT mated with Bentley’s all-wheel-drive system. The 12-cylinder engine produces an extra 15 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque and 567 hp and 516 lb-ft. But the big news is the expected arrival of a turbocharged, 4.0-liter V-8 installed in a new entry-level GT and GTC which will produce around 475hp.
With less weight this one will also be more fuel efficient than the current GT on sale now. Inside we can find new seats and an updated dash with a new sat navigation system. We don’t expect these to be the wheel and tire set up on the production model.
