Ferrari Sacrificed to Save Boy's Life

July 7, 2009
A Ferrari F430 was destroyed in Dallas this week after the owner swerved to avoid hitting a boy riding a bicycle. Unfortunately, the Ferrari ended up in Lake Oakdale.

We commend the driver who didn't think twice about sacrificing his Ferrari (and putting his own life in danger) to save a child from injury. We assume the guy in the water is the tow truck operator.

Wow, hopefully anybody would make that sacrifice...

Who wants a nice piece of salvage car art for their wall?

I surely wouldn't want to hit the kid, but I'd think about smacking him after this one. However, his insurance provider really can't hold anything against the guy.

First of all, what the hell was the kid doing biking in the street? Secondly, how fast was this guy going that he had to make such a drastic move as opposed to just slamming on the brakes?

i dont see any skid marks on the road, any tire marks in the grass/rocks, or any damage to the exterior of the car. maybe this guy was just sick of his 430 and needed a good excuse to tell his wife for why he's going to buy a scud.

Wow, this actually happened a couple miles away from my house... Oakdale is a gated community with a small private lake inside of it.

Really nice area, surprised I haven't seen it on the news.
