I'm moving to Saudi Arabia on Monday
 

As crazy as it sounds, I am actually moving from New York to Khobar, Saudi Arabia on Monday. I will be working for a tuning shop out there and cant wait to shoot some pics of the crazy middle eastern car scene. I will be sure to update this thread as I do.

Anyone ever been before and have some advice for me?

I'm sure your in for a major culture shock, but keep a good attitude and you should be fine.

Bahrain is 30 mins away... most expats go there or hang on Aramco..

khobar has a lot of expat scene and underground culture for them... they arrange acitivies and gather so you should be fine.

I lived there for 4 years, it was a long time though.

That is essentially what the guys have told me. Are these the sort of settings I can actually talk to girls? That's one thing I have been worried about haha.

Also, I am trying to figure out an iPhone solution that people from the US could call/text me without having to pay a lot. Any suggestions?
