What do you guys think of FAL's

Specifically, this baby?

SA58 FAL Carbine PARA Rifle, .308 Cal. - SA58CP16-D S Arms

Excellent rifle!

I LOVE DSA. These guys do it right.

Buy it! Then range report.

I've never shot one, but they are often compared to the HK91 so I'd look into that also.

If you're looking for a semi-auto .308, many of the quality AR manufacturers are building them now: LWRC, LMT (now in use by British military), LaRue Tactical, POF-USA, Knights Armament Co.

The LMT one is intruiging, I need to look into it.

The FAL is inexpensive (relatively), and seems like an interesting platform.

FALs are good but heavy.

Much wisdom in this, there is.

I had a couple of FAL's a few years back. Heavy as a bitch, but just a blast to shoot. Not a ton of recoil since they weighed so much and it was easy to stay on target rapid fire. We loved them.

Great gun, like people have said they are heavy compared to say an AR Carbine. I've handled a few and liked them.
