Good champagne???

Funny story.. New Year's Eve day I went into Total Wine and told the guy to get me the Dom out of the case. He said 'the Cristal is on sale'. I said thanks, but I'll take the Dom. While walking around the store with the Dom in my hand, 3 other employees approached me to tell me the Cristal was on sale. By the time the last one said it I had to grit my teeth.
Getting back to it, I'm not a huge fan of champagne, but when I drink it I like DP. A nice alternative to me are the Extra Dry Brut Prosecco's. No headache unlike the French stuff.

Current vintage DP is said to be their best ever KT.
Taittinger or Bollinger for NV drinking.
EDIT: You beat me to it Eric, they say their best ever. We got a few bottles over New Years. Drinking it out of the bottle the day after New Years probably doesn't lend itself to me giving an accurate review though.

I had an '02 on NY's. It was really great. When you say current vintage, what year would that be? Pardon my ignorance but I suspect there aren't any actual 2011's on the shelves.
