Jenson Button finally has the car to compete with Lewis Hamilton, and is now intent on giving his younger rival some serious competition in the Formula One WAG stakes.

Pit lane photographers have spent the last two seasons with their lenses pointed exclusively at Nicole Scherzinger, Hamilton’s Pussycat Doll girlfriend.

However, in Japanese lingerie model Jessica Michibata, Button has a girlfriend who has the potential to challenge Scherzinger for pole position.

Michibata is the latest in a long line of young ladies to share a motorhome with Button, a man described as “untameable” by some of her predecessors.

Michibata is much more than just a pretty face, and writes a monthly column on cinema in the Japanese press.

Her timing is also exemplary, coinciding as it does with Button’s scarcely believable rise from the scrap-heap to the podium.

“Jenson’s great. I think he will win the world championship,” said Michibata after Button’s victory in Melbourne.

The 24-year-old, who was born in Fukui, is, like Scherzinger, of mixed heritage, with a Japanese mother and an Argentine father of Spanish and Italian ancestry.

She has a younger sister, Angelica, who is also a lingerie model for Peach John.

Scherzinger, meanwhile, was conspicuous by her absence in Melbourne with reports claiming her two-year relationship with Hamilton is under strain.

The Pussycat Dolls are currently touring with Britney Spears, and Scherzinger is expected to perform at WrestleMania this weekend. And with Hamilton equally busy trying to make his McLaren competitive again, the pair have had few opportunities to spend time together.

Nicole Scherzinger is a curve less bean pole who is need of a burger, same with Button's girlfriend.

I'd take neither, Michelle Marsh, Lucy Pinder, or Keeley Hazell would be proper F1 arm candy/girlfriends.
