2011 Naples - "Cars on 5th" (Exotic Car Picture Heaven!)
 

Hello, friends! It's been WAY too long but I have been unbelievably swamped at the university and not photographing nearly as much as I would love to. Thankfully, that changed this weekend!

I got to spend the day with fantastic friends and made some great new connections as well! The Cars on 5th is hosted every year by the Ferrari Club of Naples and it is always more and more ridiculous each year. This year was no different! Some cars were brought out that were literally priceless.

Amazingly, no!

There are quite a few Enzo's in Naples though. I spoke to the owner of a black Enzo last year at this same event. He would always park it like a regular car in his community's garage.

There are SO many sick private car collections in this city that will never be seen by public eyes. I made friends with the detailer for the CCXR Trevita and he said the owner also owns another CCXR as well.

I'm doing my damnedest to get access to that garage for a private photo session. ;) If it happens, photos to come!!

I did chat with the owner of the LFA and his wife for about 30 mins. Fantastic people. I exchanged business cards with him. I'll be following up with him shortly and offer him a photo session. His car is the first and only LFA in FL right now - 5th LFA in the country. Unbelievable car, he showed me the interior and the electronics on the dash etc. It's an amazing machine with only 250 miles on it right now. He said 125 of those miles were from the engineers at the factory testing it.

Hey, I appreciate that more than you know!! :)

It's ridiculously challenging to photograph events like this with such mass crowds hovering over each car. Plus, obviously the cars aren't in motion so making the photos interesting and intriguing isn't as easy as I had hoped either!

I definitely tried my best and attempted to incorporate as many angles / aerial view photos as I could to make it interesting!

Hey Chris, it's Chris L from Naples, way back when with those old car clubs Wes (my twin) and me used to show up in the Z06 and his M5/E55. Glad to see you're doing such amazing work. That first shot and other aerial views you got from above on the third floor were taken from the place right next door from our old apartment,the one above the balcony you see just below just a tad closer. Go, I loved that place. Wish I'd kept onto it for times like this! Anyways I digress...

Not to turn this into a personal thread, but I love seeing such great photos from someone I've known for quite some time now. All is well with me and Wes man, thanks for asking. Neither of us are there at the moment; Wes is up in Kentucky working and I just graduated Boston College about two months back and am living up in Beantown at the moment. I had been in Naptown for about a week or more over Christmas time, but the next time I will be looking to head down there I will be sure to hit you up so we can shoot the sh**, take some photos and just hang like old times. Good to see you're doin well too Chris and I'll be sure to be in touch.
