CORSA mode -- someone please explain.

Hi Everyone, ...I'm new to this forum, and am a new (second) owner of an LP670-4 SV. I've tried reading the manual, but don't understand the use of the CORSA button on this car. To my understanding, at a full stop, hitting the CORSA button and turning TSC off means you are wanting the equivalent of "launch control". But when car is in motion, and you are driving normally, can the CORSA button be pushed? If my objective is to make the car's engine be much more responsive and engaging various gears faster, is this what I do with the CORSA button? or CORSA means strictly "launch control" and that's it.

Corsa is sport button, the car shifts late always and downshifts when your going slow. When you press corsa mode 75% of the time the exhaust valves are open and it sounds loud.

So if CORSA is equivalent to a SPORTS mode, then I take it that it is safe to push the button when the car is in motion, sort of like the sports button on a BMW M3, except I push that button when my foot is momentarily off of the accelerator.

Lower the front and go take more pictures! Car looks great, how do you like it in comparison to the Scud?

Thank you, MeanMachine, for your responses. Very helpful info. ... I just wanted to make sure it was safe to do while car is moving. And, unfortunately, that was not answered from reading the owner's manual.

To answer the previous person's post regarding the ride in the SuperVeloce compared to the 430 Scuderia, I can say that the ride "feel" is completely different between the two. The SV feels much more hunkered down on the road when you accelerate hard, and the road grip feel is tremendous. That is not to say that the Scuderia is a bad performer. The Scuderia just feels a lot lighter at the start of the acceleration, probably because it IS a lighter car. So on first gear, I favor the Scuderia. But on second gear, the SV is the winner; so much more torque from that V12. Having said that, I have not tried operating the SV in CORSA mode, which I had questions on when to operate, which prompted this post.

Another related question if anyone knows the answer: when the car is in CORSA mode, it doesn't necessarily mean that traction stability control is automatically disengaged is it? Or that's not an option, and TSC is automatically turned off. I want to experiment driving the car is CORSA mode soon, but don't trust my corrective driving skills enough, and don't want to loose control of the vehicle on a moderately aggressive turn.

Doesn't your manual explain the corsa mode?

Here is what motor trend says about the mode:
CORSA mode provides faster throttle response, quicker shifting and deactivates automatic upshifting at redline.
