.... which may not seem like many to you guys in America, but when there is only probably a handful of dealers who actually have the cars, its ALOT. They all range in specs from basic to loaded.
I guess ( and it was the salesman's "explanation" ) that people are waiting for the DCT transmission. They sure are missing out by not going for the 6-speed though...

And some classic E30 footage from the '87 Aussie Touring cars for good measure.

Just don't post up the 91-92 Bathurst videos!
Can't believe they are just sitting there, that's quite a lot. I know the first year allocation sold pretty well here in Oz. Although I imagine the 6MT's will take a price hit when the DCT hits and on the second hand market.

They did sell pretty well ( our dealer pretty much sold out ) but i think people wriggled out before the cars arrived.
They arn't willing to budge on price either which is surprising.

Yeah you get the same thing here in Aus which is strange, they've sold a few. But no where near as many as the E46. Probably hasn't helped that it's copped a price hike, but I think your right and people backed out when they found out they were manual only.

It makes sense to sit on them since the dealers are not budging on price. Once the DCT's drop, the dealers will have to lower the price on the 6-speeds. Those who want the 6 over the DCT will/should jump on them then.
