Introducing myself, couple pics of my FD's
While I'm sitting the Charlotte airport waiting on my delayed connecting flight I figured I'd post up some pics of my girls.
I've been hanging around the forums here for a while now but have mostly been lurking. I can't quite hang with all the big boys on this forum and their exotics, but being in grad school will do that to ya
Maybe in a couple years... For now though I'm a poor student living in Las Vegas and getting my masters in Hotel Admin. Hopefully by the time I graduate the economy will turn around and people will start coming back to Vegas and gambling away all that government bail out money! It's rough out in the desert these days...
For now though I've got my two girls, Jessica and Scarlett. Both 1993 RX-7 R1's, both Competition Yellow Mica (only 350 produced), and both have around 48,000 miles on them. Jessica has all the mods (more to come later this year) while Scarlett remains 100% factory stock
I've been a rotary fan for years, can't get away from them. Love all types of car scenes though from 50's hot rods and classic muscle to modern exotics. My true passion though are vintage Ferrari's... oh one day I'll have a 250 Lusso in my garage
haha
Anyway on to the pics, took these about a month ago when I was visiting my garage back home in Maryland. The cars are living there for now until I get a place that can house them out west, it sucks not being able to drive them but once every few months. Later this year once I get my cars moved out to Vegas with me and get some more mods going I'll come back and update this thread.

Nice to have you one the forum. I love it when I meet people who are passionate about their cars and not afraid to admit it.
I noticed your location is Las Vegas. I grew up in Vegas - went to Clark High School ('88) - and most of my family still lives in the Valley. Still too hot for me!

Thanks for all the love guys, it's now about 3am I just got in from the bar here in North Carolina (watching my brother graduate tomorrow) - But to answer slavik, the modded one is probably around 325 or so at the wheels untuned. My friend and I developed an aftermarket oil-cooler kit for the FD's, with either dual 25 row setrab coolers, or dual 19 rows. We also developed the VMount intercooler/radiator setup you see on my car and we're just about to finish the fabrication on it (we need to get some custom air conditioning parts to retain the AC)... and then the VMount will be on the market for sale as well as the Oil Coolers which we've already sold a number of... I don't know how much more I'm going to do to it power-wise as I've got bigger plans for it in the near future. The other one though will remain very close to stock as I feel one day it will be worth a bit more the way it is now
They are unreliable for mose people, but if you are quite a rotary enthusiast you can keep them running and running well for an extremely long time. Just takes a lot of babysitting and preventative maintenance
No matter how large my collection of automobiles becomes one day, I will always keep these 7's

As for Vegas, I've just moved out there about a year ago now, I love it but I'm not sure how long I'll stay after I graduate next year. It all depends on my employment situation. I'd really like to move to Irvine (or a surrounding area) but only time will tell. Vegas is definitely rough in the summer, it is especially rough on rotary engines! Many RX8 owners have blown up their motors due to extreme temperatures in LV over the past few years.
