I've done it in spots, but never a whole car. You don't even try this without a paint meter, and I'm not that "big time" to buy one. Awesome job. Looks like that paint's about to drip off. |
Great turnaround. Every new BMW could definitely benefit from a orange peel correction/colorsanding just as you have done. Excellent work! Not to thread jack: Picked up a 57' Mercedes 220S at Russo Steele a couple weeks ago and wetsanding, nibbing and correcting the car is going to be my weekend long project. I hopefully will post that writeup here soon! |
Wow, awesome work! |
Great work as always. Are you still using only Meguiar's products? And it looks like you've got an address now instead of just a van. |
Thanks for the compliments. Yes I am still 100% Meguiars. The Alpina was topped with something other than Meguiars due to the vehicle owners request. My "shop" is my garage at home. 90% of my work is still on the road. The higher-end multiple day work I bring home to work on. |
Excellent work Joe! That ride is standing tall!! |
hi great work, Car looks amazing BMW's always look good when they have been colour sanded :respekt: when i colour sanded the black M5 i used 2000 grit and hand blocked the whole car you seem to get a better finish by doing it by hand, then 3000,4000 which actualy starts to polish the surface so less compounding. going from 1500 - 3000 is a big jump. |
wow wow wow excellent work! |
impressive wish I had the time, skill and patience for that. |
That is amazing! I can't believe the difference it made! |
